Good Afternoon,
First, let me introduce myself – my name is Kathryn Chamberlain, and I am a Fostering Recruitment Officer for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Fostering Service.
You will all no doubt be aware that there is a national shortage of fostering households at present. As such, the primary objective of the Local Authority’s Fostering Recruitment Team is to increase the number of fostering households by promoting and raising awareness of the need for new Foster Carers within the Peterborough and Cambridgeshire areas. Fundamentally, an increase in local Foster Carers ensures that local children and young people can maintain their local connections and relationships.
With the above in mind, I wondered if there was any possibility of some members of the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough fostering team having an information/drop in stand at the Itter Park fun Day on 20 August?
I attach a photo of the kind of set up we have had at similar events. This can obviously be amended according to available space but may help with planning purposes.
